‘Parkbos-Uilenbroek’ nature reserve

‘Parkbos-Uilenbroek’ nature reserve is situated on the border between Zottegem, Lierde and Herzele. The 22-hectare nature reserve consists of two separate areas: Parkbos wood and the bocage landscape of Uilenbroek. The valley of the Parkbosbeek and Broekbeek brooks is made up of woodlands, grasslands and hedgerows. Different birds of prey (buzzard, northern goshawk, Eurasian hobby) can regularly be seen hovering above Parkbos wood.
